This immersive course is for those ready to slow down, look deeper, and commit to drawing one portrait with precision and care. Over four
sessions, you’ll work from a single model, developing a highly detailed graphite drawing that explores the structure, proportion, and tonal complexity of the human head.
Designed as a follow-on from our Portrait Play: Structure & Expression in September, it also prepares you beautifully for our Coloured Pencil Portrait Course in November. Each course stands alone – but together, they form a powerful progression in building confidence and control in your portrait practice.
Taught by experienced artist and tutor Susannah Pal, this course draws on over a decade of teaching observational drawing to help you build confidence and find joy in the process.
