EXPRESSIVE PORTRAIT – MIXED MEDIA DRAWING TECHNIQUES WITH ANNE NOBLE-PARTRIDGE

October is PORTRAIT MONTH at London Drawing! We are excited to present 5 Saturdays of portrait with 5 different artist using a range of mediums and approaches with a program of inspiring models:

Join London Drawing tutor and founder Anne Noble-Partridge for a workshop exploring the expressive power of mark-making as we let our medium lead us through a series of drawings which take a deep dive into layering, building texture and contrast- and allow emotionally charged portraits emerge.

A great day of life drawing using different techniques and mediums suitable for all levels of ability. Anne will delve deep into her 20 years experience in teaching life drawing to pull out a range of drawing processes to really shake up your drawing practice and explore drawing – injecting your work with confidence of mark-making and the hutzpah to really go for it!

This workshop combines technique: proportion, composition, measuring – with dynamism: gestural drawing and mark-making to really build strong and confident drawing using a range of fun and engaging materials and processes- with loads of tuition and practical demonstrations.

We will be working in a wide range of mediums – from coloured pens- to compressed charcoal- to tonal pastel- using grounds to draw into to create depth and energy in your drawing.

A really excellent day designed to build your confidence in drawing all aspects of the body- perfect for beginners- and great for brushing up on technique for those with more experience
