Join London Drawing tutor and anatomy specialist Dolph Van Eden and special guest model Andrea Morani for a fantastic day of anatomy based tonal study

Andrea Morani is one of the most sought after models on the international life drawing scene- he has worked with artists such as Shane Wolf, Wendy Artin and Ron Hicks to name a few- and is truly inspirational. Creating with Andrea really is like stepping back into Renaissance Italy!

We will be taking a deep dive into life drawing and anatomy – working through structure and muscularity, learning to recognise and visualise the physicality of the body to build real depth into your drawing. Understanding of the anatomy of the body is the key to creating convincing and confident life drawing- and is invaluable regardless of your style. Depth of physical understanding will inject a 3D-ness to your drawing which will inform tone, volume and foreshortening.

We will use directional lighting to create high contrast chiaroscuro to define the physicality of the body, highlighting bone and muscle. Using charcoal amd graphite to build layers of tone and learn how to render a variety of shadow qualities to create volume and realism through glowing light and shade.

This workshop guarantees improvement in your drawing and confidence – with in depth demonstrations and plenty of one to one tuition – you can really take it to your own level.
