Markmaking, gesture, expression with confidence and technique- Take a deep dive into materials in this great development course with London Drawing tutor Susannah Pal!

This course is a great chance to create expressive portraits directly from the model. You will explore a variety of mark making techniques using a range of materials; from pencil, charcoal to nib & ink drawing. You will start by studying artworks by a range of artists, learning techniques to build character and create expressive likeness and volume through mark-making and tonal values.

This is the perfect course if you want to experiment with techniques using simple materials to maximum effect. Plus it is a great accompaniment to our Life Drawing and Portrait live stream classes. With demonstrations and guided drawing sessions packed with tips and information with plenty of feedback- this is a brilliant opportunity to go really into detail with your drawing!

Recordings will be made available to everyone which can be watched and re-watched for two weeks after the class- so you can catch up if you miss sessions and recap if you need to go into more depth.
