Join us for a day of life painting exploration with the award winning artist James Hague. Expect some serious painting exploration with a wealth of information and insights into this great figurative artists work. Explore colour and paint application, experiment with building layers of not just physicality but also emotional depth in your painting. This really is a class not to be missed-

More about James Hague:
James Hague is a London based artist who studied Fine Art at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle and the Royal College of Art. In 1996, he won the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery in London. He was the recipient of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters RP Award (2019) and the Ondaatje Prize for Portraiture (2018).
Other prizes for painting include: 2014 Ismet Mujezinović Portrait Prize (Bosnia), 2013 Portrait Now! Brewer J.C.Jacobsen’s Portrait Award (Denmark), 2006 Lynn-Painter Stainers Prize (UK), 2004 Royal College of Art Amlin Painting Prize (UK) and 2004 Royal College of Art Stanley Smith Scholarship (UK).
James is part of the faculty of The Heatherley School of Fine Art, and a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and Contemporary British Portrait Painters.
