Join artist and London Drawing tutor Nikki Gardham for a special still life workshop all about texture and tone- perfect for building your drawing skills and translating into simple printmaking if you want to take it a step further!
Hone your observational skills and ability to see tonal values while drawing from a still life set up to create beautiful and dramatic light-filled compositions.
Nikki will explain step by step how your drawings can be transformed into the language of printmaking. Those of you with access to some basic printmaking materials can follow along or draw along to build strong and developed tonal studies-
Join us for an exciting introduction to the mono-printing technique- all using simple materials that can be used at home
The workshop is great for drawing regardless of whether you have some printmaking materials- and perfect for finding out more about simple printmaking
Basic Materials:
Hard and soft pencils
Pens – felt tip / marker / biros, etc
Eraser
Pencil sharpener
Printmaking materials if you have them – :
Relief / block printing ink (black, or any colour you have)
Roller
Sheet of acetate / plastic
Paper
Wipes or kitchen towel
