The Body Exquisite – Shibari Life Drawing Salons

Date(s) - 23/07/2019
7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

The Crypt Gallery, St Pancras Parish Church

Let us take you by the hand into the fabulously atmospheric chambers of The Crypt Gallery for a candle lit life drawing session of sensuality and physicality with the brilliant Anatomie Studio

In Japanese, “Shibari” simply means “to tie”. The contemporary meaning of Shibari describes an ancient Japanese artistic form of rope tying on the body. Shibari style rigging creates geometric patterns and shapes with rope that contrast beautifully with the human body’s natural shapes. The aesthetic arrangement of ropes and knots on the model’s body in Shibari rigging emphasizes characteristics like sensuality, vulnerability, and also strength.

Prepare for an intense and beautiful drawing experience….
