Lo-Fi Printmaking at Home- 4 Evening Online Course with Sisetta Zappone

An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until 9th December 2020


Four evenings of brilliant creative hands on practical printmaking- perhaps our most fun and creative workshop!

Work using mono printing, relief and lino printing with techniques and equipment you can use at home. Great for pushing your drawing in different directions and a super opportunity for experimenting and creativity.

This workshop will be lead by the brilliant artist and print maker Sisetta Zappone-

Sisetta will walk us through a range of techniques and approaches with lots of tips and insights into the print making process- all of which can be translated into your drawing practice  and a great complement to our other classes and workshops!

You will be working from a range of subject matter- such as still life and photo references- whatever interests you.

Four evenings:
Wednesday 18/ 28 November & Wednesday 2/9 December
6.30-8.30pm GMT
£55 per person for four classes

Materials not included-

We will provide a materials list- which is you buy everything will cost around £30
Materials are durable and will last long beyond the course

All materials can be bought online through Great Art

We will also use a range of items you may well already have around the house!

Here is a rough outline for each week so you know what you will be doing and what you will need for each class

Class 1: Monotype:
1) An A4 or A5 piece of glass/plastic (old photo clip frame or mirror)
2) ink set of colors ideally or just black
3) ink roller
4) old paint brushes/cotton buds/strings/palette knives…essentially any mark making tools.
5) water soap rags to clean up

Class 2: Collagraph:
1) piece of cardboard/cereal box
2) ink set of colors ideally or just black
3) PVA glue
4) ink roller(not essential for this one)
5) old paint brushes/cotton buds/strings/palette knives…essentially any mark making tools.
6) water soap rags to clean up

Class 3 and 4 : (same techniqie same set of materials)
1)  2 A5 or A4 lino blocks (you need 2 of exactly same size for multi plate technique in lesson 4)
2) lino-cutting tool set
3) lino block ink (only black is fine)
4) ink roller
5) proofing and printing paper
