We are really excited to present a brand new three day summer school with artist John Close! The Radiant Figure:
A three day summer school course that will allow you to work directly from the life model, responding to the energy and challenge of the human body. Tutor John Close will conduct a class with approaches to topics such as proportion, tone and mark making; each lesson will take students from fundamental steps into emboldened leaps.
In addition, you will receive help sheets, fine art references and direct feedback to support your development. We will conclude with a final day offering a simple, ingenious approach to painting, stabilising the process for beginners and giving deeper understanding for experienced artists. This summer school is for anyone who is able, intermediate or unconfident – for every participant will encounter the life model as The Radiant Figure, a light upon your creative process.
